AI Page Builder

The AI Page Builder enables you to create professional documentation pages without any coding. Combine pre-built blocks, use AI assistance, and publish directly to your developer portal.

Getting Started

Access the Page Builder from Admin Sidebar → Page Builder in your admin dashboard.

Creating a Page

  1. Click New Page
  2. Enter your page title and URL slug
  3. Choose a layout
  4. Next, choose a AI-Generated
  5. Start building

Content Blocks

Drag and drop blocks to build your page:

  • Hero Section — Intro banner with headline and key message
  • Features Grid — Highlights core features in a visual grid
  • Call to Action — Prompts users to take the next step
  • Testimonials — Displays customer feedback and social proof
  • FAQ — Answers common user questions
  • Pricing — Shows plans, costs, and inclusions
  • Rich Text — Flexible text content with formatting
  • Image — Displays a standalone image
  • Spacer — Adds vertical spacing between sections
  • Divider — Separates content with a visual line
  • Callout — Emphasizes important information or tips
  • API Catalog — Lists available APIs and details
  • Custom HTML — Inserts custom markup and scripts

AI Assistance

The AI assistant helps you create content faster:

Generate Content

  1. Click the AI button in the toolbar
  2. Describe what you want to create
  3. Review the generated content
  4. Insert, edit, or regenerate

Effective Prompts

Be specific about what you need. "Write a guide for authenticating with OAuth 2.0 including code examples in Python and JavaScript" works better than "Write about OAuth."

Rewrite & Improve

Select existing content and ask AI to:

  • Simplify — Make technical content more accessible
  • Expand — Add more detail and examples
  • Shorten — Condense while keeping key points
  • Fix — Correct grammar and improve clarity
  • Translate — Convert to another language

Smart Suggestions

As you write, AI provides contextual suggestions:

  • Related content to link
  • Code examples to add
  • Missing sections to include
  • SEO improvements

Page Settings

Metadata

  • Title — Page title and browser tab text
  • Description — SEO meta description
  • URL Slug — Page URL path
  • Featured Image — Social sharing image

Visibility

  • Public — Visible to all visitors
  • Authenticated — Visible to logged-in users only
  • Team Access — Visible to specific teams
  • Draft — Not published yet
  • Show in Navigation — Include in site navigation
  • Parent Page — Nest under another page
  • Display Order — Sort order in menus

Publishing

Preview

Before publishing, preview your page:

  • Desktop, tablet, and mobile views
  • Shareable preview link for review
  • Check all interactive elements work

Publish

  1. Click Publish when ready
  2. Optionally schedule for future publication
  3. Page goes live immediately
  4. Receive confirmation with live URL

Unpublish

To remove a published page:

  1. Open the page in the editor
  2. Click Unpublish
  3. Page returns to draft status
  4. URL shows 404 until republished

Page Templates

Custom Templates

Create your own templates from any page:

  1. Build your ideal page layout
  2. Click Save as Template
  3. Name your template
  4. Use it for future pages
