AI Page Builder

Describe the page you want. Launchpad streams a full page into a live preview, then opens it in the editor. Click text, swap images, insert sections, or ask the AI assistant to change the page. Drafts stay private until you publish. Published pages live at /p/[slug], or at the portal root if you set the page as the homepage.

Getting Started

Open Admin Sidebar → Page Builder. You need the View Page Builder permission. Creating, editing, publishing, and using AI each have their own permission (see Access control).

The Page Builder home is a prompt dashboard: a prompt box, optional Try: starters, recent pages, and View all pages. Type a brief (or paste a longer spec) and generate, or reopen a recent page.

Creating a Page

Generate from a prompt

On the Page Builder home, describe the page and click Generate (Enter also submits; Shift+Enter adds a new line). Requires Use AI Builder and Create Pages.

Launchpad creates a draft, then streams the page in a Live Preview with a build checklist (Preparing the canvas, Building your page, then Your page is ready). When generation finishes, the editor opens at /admin/page-builder/[pageId]/edit.

Quick starters under Try: prefill the prompt:

The Editor

Every page is a single visual document. The toolbar title is editable — change it and press Enter or click away to save. Click Edit content (pen icon) to work on the preview, then Done editing when you are finished.

While editing, the banner reads: click text, images, or links to edit; click a section to move, delete, or add a block.

• Click to edit text — Select headings, body copy, and buttons. A format bar offers font size, bold, alignment, and text color
• Links — Edit link text, URL (a pasted URL, /path, or #section), and whether to open in a new tab
• Images — Upload (click or drag and drop), paste a URL, or set alt text. Background images and icons can be replaced the same way
• Undo / Redo — ⌘Z and ⌘⇧Z while editing
• Add block — Insert a section after the selected one, or append to the end if none is selected
• Move / delete sections — Reorder or remove a selected section
• Section style — Background, text, surface, and border colors on inserted library blocks
• Code viewer — Inspect the page HTML
• AI assistant — Overlay chat for questions and instruction-based edits (see AI Assistance)

Content Blocks

In edit mode, open Add block to insert a section. Inserted blocks pick up spacing and color from the page so they sit with the generated layout.

• Hero Section — Headline, subheadline, and call-to-action buttons
• Header Banner — Full-width banner with background image and centered title
• Features Grid — Three-column grid of capabilities
• Call to Action — Prominent banner encouraging an action
• Testimonials — Customer quotes for social proof
• FAQ — Frequently asked questions
• Pricing — Pricing tiers
• Rich Text — A titled passage of formatted text
• Image — A single image with an optional caption
• Text + Image — Title and body on the left, image on the right
• Image + Text — Image on the left, title and body on the right
• Spacer — Vertical space between sections
• Divider — A horizontal rule separating content
• Callout — Highlight important information
• API Catalog — Live, searchable grid of your API specs (renders on the published page)
• API Catalog List — Live, searchable list of specs grouped by category
• Form… — Embed an active Form Builder form
• Custom HTML… — Paste or write your own markup (sanitized on insert)
• Custom components — Page-block components you published for this portal. Site-wide and slot components are not listed here; see Custom Components.

Custom components

Page-block custom components appear under Custom components in Add block after you publish them from Admin Sidebar → Custom Components (/admin/custom-components). Site-wide mounts and header, menu, or footer replacements are configured there as well — they do not show in Add block.

• In the editor — the section is a placeholder (display name and a note that it renders live on the published page). Select it and open settings to edit the component’s props.
• On the published page — the live bundle mounts. If the component is disabled, missing, or fails to load, that section shows an unavailable fallback. The rest of the page stays up.

AI Assistance

Open the AI Assistant from the sparkles control in the editor. It keeps a prompt history for the page (the original generate prompt plus later edits) and can answer questions about the page or apply changes.

Generate a page

1. From Page Builder home, describe the page and generate
2. Watch the Live Preview stream in
3. Open the editor to refine copy, images, and sections — or keep talking to the assistant

Edit with chat

With the page open, tell the assistant what to change, or ask what it thinks. It shows a short thinking summary, then either answers or rewrites the page. Unmentioned content stays in place. After an edit it suggests a few next steps. Examples:

• Make the hero darker and shorten the headline
• Add an FAQ about rate limits and authentication
• Swap the CTA to "Request access" linking to your Form Builder form

Review the preview, then Save or Publish. Requires Use AI Builder.

Page Settings

Open Page settings from the editor toolbar. Changes persist when you click Save.

• Title — Also editable in the editor toolbar
• Slug — Public path segment (/p/<slug>)
• Description — Internal summary
• Set as Homepage — Serve this page at the portal root. Only one page can be the homepage
• Display Site Header — Show or hide the portal header on this page
• Display Site Footer — Show or hide the portal footer on this page
• Meta title — SEO title (defaults to the page title)
• Meta description — SEO meta description
• OG image URL — Social sharing image

To put a page in the portal header menu, add it in Navigation (Configuration → Main Navigation) using the page URL, for example /p/about.

Publishing

Save

Save stores the current page and settings as a draft. Visitors still see the last published version (or nothing, if the page was never published).

Publish

1. Click Publish (or Publish changes if the page is already live)
2. The draft becomes the live page at /p/[slug]
3. Use View Page to open the live URL

The editor status shows Draft, Published, Unpublished changes, or a pending Save/Publish state. Requires Publish Pages.

Unpublish

Unpublish is in the editor overflow menu (More actions, ⋯). Confirm to take the page offline. The URL is not served to visitors until you publish again. Requires Publish Pages.

All pages

Open View all pages from the Page Builder home (/admin/page-builder/pages) to search by title, slug, or description and filter by status: All, Published, Drafts, or Archived. Back to Prompt returns to the generate dashboard. From a page card you can edit, view live, publish, unpublish, or delete (delete requires Delete Pages).

Version History

Open Version history from the editor toolbar. Each save, AI edit, and publish is recorded with author, time, and kind (AI, Manual, or Restore). Published milestones are kept. Preview a previous version, then restore it into the draft, review it in the editor, and Save or Publish. Restore replaces the current draft; it does not change the live page until you publish.

Access control

These permissions are assigned to Admin/Administrator roles by default. See Role-Based Access to assign them to other roles.
